Libertarian U.S. Senate candidate David Patterson sues KET over debate criteria

Citing a first amendment violation the campaign for Libertarian candidate David Patterson along with the state and national Libertarian Party filed a federal lawsuit against public television provider Kentucky Educational Television over debate criteria. The suit was filed Tuesday afternoon in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky, and “stems from its new exclusionary policy regarding public debates, eliminating Libertarian participation” according to a press release. The campaign of Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes is reaching out to the online community to show the support behind her campaign through social media and other outlets.
