Elsie Case, Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes’ maternal grandmother, plays a key part in Grimes’ latest television ad released Thursday, recounting her husband’s stoke and the couple’s struggle to make ends meet. Uncommunicative administrators, mismanagement of financials and weak policies led to financial instability of the Fayette County School System, an audit conduct by Auditor Adam Edelen’s office found.
