Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Greg Leichty offers harsh criticism of Grimes

Greg Leichty might not win the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate, but he at least wants to have an effect on the race by helping likely nominee Alison Lundergan Grimes “up her game” by being more specific and cutting out the “mush-mouth” answers. Leichty, a communications professor at the University of Louisville, has been experimenting with ways to get his message across. Paul takes note of what's working at model school in Louisville's West End

To help catch young people before they go down the wrong path, communities need to look to creative set-ups, like the West End School in West Louisville, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul said after touring the school Monday. It’s a private school that charges no tuition for at-risk students in elementary and middle school. Bevin lectures reporters, seeks to refocus campaign on economics

FRANKFORT – Most legislation approved in this year’s General Assembly will take effect July 15, Attorney General Jack Conway said Monday in an opinion. Conway said the effective date is for all approved legislation except for general appropriation measures or those containing emergency or delayed effective dates.
