    Tom Loftus Charles Booker, a legislative employee who appeared in a video of Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes’ campaign for U.S. Senate, was fired Monday for violating a staff policy against partisan political activity. Marcia Seiler, acting director of the Legislative Research Commission confirmed that Booker no longer works for the agency.     We certainly hope that U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell has a hard shell. Why? A tea party candidate in Texas running against U.S. Sen. John Cornyn has a television ad up criticizing Cornyn , saying that Texans don’t need a Senator who cast votes who “to please some guy who looks and fights like a turtle.” Ouch. The ad stars candidate Dwayne Stovall and a golden retriever. We don’t know the golden retriever’s name. Here’s the transcript.
