Event organizers of the 134th Fancy Farm Picnic are firming up the last of their speaking roster for this year’s event as the main attraction of Grimes versus McConnell has staff updating the venue, and guests are being warned to be respectful as a national TV audience descends upon the village of Fancy Farm. The campaigns of both candidates in the Kentucky U.S. Senate race again expressed interest in having the two share a stage to talk issues after Centre College made a formal proposal Thursday to host a debate. But still, no one debate offer has been accepted by both candidates. Jensen playing catch up in fundraising with $234,000 on hand after Democratic primary

Democratic 6th District Congressional candidate Elisabeth Jensen of Lexington is reporting more than $234,000 in cash-on-hand for her campaign against U.S. Rep. Andy Barr, R-Lexington. In the last three months, Jensen raised $186,000 in campaign contributions. Of that total, $163,000 in contributions came in the two months following the primary, according to a fundraising report filed with the Federal Election Commission. Prior to the May primary, Jensen, at one point had $265,000 in cash-on-hand. So far in the cycle... Read more
